(2) The Electoral Decline of Social Democratic Parties in Europe:

(Excel Database here)

This dataset will examine comparatively the recent electoral decline of social democratic parties across Europe, alongside centre right and radical right party competition on immigration in Europe. This project will draw on recent aggregate national parliamentary election data in demonstrating that recent events matter in explaining this widespread electoral decline. A comparative approach will be complemented alongside case study analyses of specific countries.
